Elisha Booth, Jr., came to Vienna Township in 1818. By that time he had married Nancy Kinsley (1792-1843). Their marriage produced five children.
Booth is listed as a farmer in the Federal Census of 1850. In 1860 he was seventy years old and living with his son, Elisha G. Booth (1823-1904), who was a merchant. By the 1870 census, Elisha G. Booth had moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he was a banker.
