Linda Yannon, granddaughter of Paul and Daisy Smith, recalls working at the store when she was 15 years old, " I made 75 cents an hour!" She also recalls, "I will never forget when Mary Beth Sponsler and I saved our money all summer to buy matching dresses for school. She got the red dress, I got the brown dress."
After the market closed, a Vienna branch of Cortland Banks occupied the building.
