The HERD Foundation

The HERD Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in January 2022 by Elizabeth Haddle, Mathews Board of Education Member, and Heidi Brown of Small Business Management, Inc. to benefit the students in the Mathews Local School District.

The focus of the Foundation is to advance education and develop infrastructure within the school district. HERD stands for Honoring Education & Renovation for the District and also symbolizes a "herd" of mustangs, the school's mascot.

HERD operates through three subcommittees: Facilities Improvement, Scholarship Fund, and the Hall of Fame.
